Maple Ridge sits at the eastern edge of Metro Vancouver, between the Fraser River and the mountains, and it is where a lot of buyers go when they want land under their feet without leaving the region. The city covers a lot of ground and changes character as you move through it — Silver Valley climbing toward Golden Ears Provincial Park, Albion and Websters Corners further east, Port Haney and Hammond down by the river, and the older established streets around the town centre.
That range is the point. Newer planned subdivisions sit a few minutes from acreage and from half-century-old homes on large lots, so two listings at the same price can offer completely different things. Compared with the Tri-Cities you generally get more house and more land for the money, and pay for it in distance. Jody Squires sells across Maple Ridge as well as the Tri-Cities with RE/MAX Sabre Realty Group — knowing which pocket suits how you actually live is most of the job.
